Post Carousel, My Love

So… last week I talked a little bit about the struggle of setting up a post carousel that could handle more than just 10 posts. It is important to note that I did end up figuring that one out. After spending the whole weekend turning through options, and possible alternatives for how to set up something that would work, I landed on keeping the old post carousel, but adding another below it.

Part of this decision was deciding what should be included if I decided to go with the 10 post carousel option. I felt it was important that the Decade by Decade post carousel actually featured the first 100 years of Devil-Goat Day. I knew it had to include the 1920s, which meant that the last decade would get cut off.

I realized I was okay with that. The 2020s were the only incomplete decade on the list, and I had two other posts, one for undated artifacts, and one for the future of Devil-Goat Day. I still needed a place to put those two. It seemed the best option would just be to display those three posts immediately below the original post carousel. That way they would still be a part of that section of the website, clearly connected, but also notably different from the completed decades.

The finished post carousel is viewable on the front page of the 100 Years of Devil-Goat Day! project website.
